Daniel Cruz is the founder of Hem of Heaven Ministries, an itinerant ministry rooted in San Diego, California. His heart burns for healing that reaches deeper than wounds, restoration that reaches further than moments, and worship that carries the weight of Heaven’s nearness.
He longs to see others rise with the same realization: that identity is received, not performed, and the Kingdom of God advances when healed people walk forward carrying Christ, not the echo of their pain.
Whether preaching in churches, ministering to youth, or playing an instrument for worship gatherings, Daniel’s mission remains the same: to point to Jesus as the place of contact, the source of healing, and the God of restoration. He labors to see believers awakened to their calling, restored in their identity, and sent into their assignment as kingdom builders who carry the presence of God into families, communities, and nations.
He also congregates at Grace San Marcos, honoring the pastor as his covering and serving the church as his community.
Daniel’s passion is simple, but unshakable: to reach for Christ, to walk in His healing, and to call others to the same fire—where one touch of faith changes everything.
About Hem of Heaven Ministries
Malachi 4:2
This promise became the heartbeat of Daniel’s book Healing in His Wings and the ministry that flows from it. The message is the same: Jesus rises over the hidden places of pain with a healing that restores identity, renews the inner person, and sends the healed forward carrying His light. Just like the woman who reached for the hem of His garment in Mark 5, the “kanaph” is where faith touches divine power.
This is why Hem of Heaven Ministries is not just a teaching ministry, but a restorative one—because it exists to say to every searching heart that Jesus can still be reached, and His healing still flows where faith touches Him.
Malachi 4 closes the Old Testament with the tension of judgment and the promise of mercy. Verse 2 becomes the divine turning point: “But to you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings” (NKJV). This is the Messianic hope revealing a Savior who rises over darkness, bringing restoration that moves toward the hurting world.
The “wings” come from the Hebrew word כָּנָף kanaph, a word used for God’s protective covering (Psalm 91:4) and the edge of a garment where faith reaches outward. The healing spoken of is רְפֻאָה rapha’ah, the kind of mending that restores something to its intended design, making the inner person whole again.
Christ & Prophetic Mandate
We believe Jesus is the Messiah, the rising Sun of Righteousness promised in Malachi 4:2.
We believe God still speaks prophetically to awaken, correct, and restore His church.
We hold that prophetic ministry must always lead people back to Christ, not to a person.
Healing & Restoration
We believe Jesus heals the heart, the mind, and the soul with restorative power, not temporary comfort.
We affirm that His healing returns identity to its divine intention.
We confess that inner restoration is the root of outward kingdom impact.
Encounter & Worship
We believe worship is not music alone, but encounter with the living Christ.
We hold that the presence of Jesus is tangible and transformative.
We proclaim that faith still touches Him at His kanaph, the hem, the point of contact.
Identity & Kingdom Builders
We believe identity is received from God, not performed for acceptance.
We confess that healed believers become kingdom builders who release others.
We declare that a generation changed by Jesus becomes a generation sent by Jesus
The Ministry Emphasis
We stand on this truth: the hem of Jesus is still within reach, and His healing flows where faith meets Him.
This is the heart of the ministry: Christ is reached, hearts are restored, and the restored are sent.
